RAKU by Lantania — Italian Stone Science
RAKU is a third-generation nanocoating developed by Lantania in Italy. Unlike surface sealers that fill pores temporarily, RAKU reacts with the stone's mineral structure at the molecular level, forming a permanent zero-porosity barrier that cannot be washed away, worn off, or degraded by acids.
The coating is invisible to the naked eye and to the touch — your marble keeps its exact finish, whether honed, polished, or leathered. It does not yellow over time, crack, peel, or require maintenance reapplication. It simply makes your stone permanently impervious.
What RAKU Protects Against
Acid Etching
Wine, citrus juice, vinegar, coffee, and carbonated drinks cause permanent etching on untreated marble. RAKU provides a barrier that gives you time to clean spills before any damage can occur.
Liquid Staining
Water, oils, and coloured liquids penetrate untreated stone and cause deep staining. RAKU-protected surfaces repel all liquids so they bead on the surface and wipe away cleanly.
Heat Damage
